Were You at the Seminar?

Some people live on going to seminars. That is the way they keep revved up. Some "expert" is supposed to have the solution to their perceived needs. Usually they come away all excited, but little change takes place accept the amount of money in their billfold.

Where do you think these experts get all their information? There are basically two sources of information. The one most often expounded is from the wisdom and philosophies of this world. The other source is Divine revelation from the Scriptures. What is really scary is that often the two are mixed and thus deceive the unwary. But the two don't mix very well and the ever-changing philosophies of this world only seem to work—they really don't in the long run.

We all have equal access to the Word of God, and the beauty is that the Scriptures don't change. They are equally pertinent to every generation. You can teach them to your children with confidence. Why be a fool and follow the changing philosophies of men? Once you purchase a Bible you can feed on it daily, and with the aid of the Holy Spirit in your life, find the answers that you need. Gospel preaching by faithful men who live it, will be far more helpful than any seminar, and is free. The best things in life are free. God made it that way so even the poorest can become rich. The daily bread of God's word will continue to sustain you after the froth of the latest "expert" has faded. God designed you and He is the only One who really knows what it takes to make you tick.

"Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you: For every one that asketh receiveth; and he that seeketh findeth; and to him that knocketh it shall be opened" (Matthew 7:7-8).

God has the answers we need. He invites us to search it out. We just need to seek earnestly with our whole heart.
